There are varying levels of Personal Security, and differing requirements, all based around personal circumstances and environment.
We all should take responsibility for our own Personal Security, but in some cases there will be a Corporate responsibility to staff members travelling on behalf of a company, or especially working overseas in areas of higher risk. There are simple, as well as more in-depth measures that can be taken to reduce any risk to employees working in medium to high threat areas, and with the increased world security threat, companies and individuals should be aware of anti-kidnapping measures, I have a document available, on request. See the "Precautionary Measures" Contents page below.
The events since 11th September 2001 have brought this sort of stuff into the fore front of the minds of everyone, and I have added a general faq around Postal Security.
My own background is from seven years service in a unconventional UK Police Force, where I specialised further as a firearms officer, and as a member of the Intelligence section. As you may have seen from the photo galleries, I have also worked as a bodyguard instructor in Russia, alongside the consummate security expert, Peter McAleese. I have experience of working with several ex members of UK Special Forces, namely SAS, and SBS, designing complete Special Force training programmes, breaking down into individual components or modules of the different elements of SF disciplines, ie. Sniper, Desert, Jungle, Arctic, Multi-room combat, Counter Revolutionary Warfare (CRW) and bodyguarding.
Please do not send CVs (resumes) to me, as I will not respond, and do not hire people. I have no connection with this industry any more.
